Easy Homemade Instant Pot Keto Greek Yogurt

  1. Pour the milk and heavy cream into the Instant pot. 
  2. Mix to combine. 
  3. Press the YOGURT button on the Instant Pot repeatedly to select More mode.
  4. After 10 seconds, the Instant pot will beep and screen will read “BOIL”.
  5. Close the lid and walk away. 
  6. After the boil cycle is complete, the screen will read “YOGT” and the Pot will turn off. 
  7. Remove the lid. 
  8. Stir the milk and check the temperature using a cooking thermometer. 
  9. The milk must reach a temperature of at least 180°F.
  10. Allow the milk to cool until it reaches a temperature of 110 to 115 °F. 
  11. Place ½ cup of the milk in a small bowl. 
  12. Add the plain yogurt and stir to combine. 
  13. Stir the yogurt mixture back into the milk mixture in the pot.
  14. Close the lid. 
  15. Press the “Yogurt” button and adjust to Normal mode. 
  16. Set the time for 8 hours. 
  17. Close with a lid. 
  18. When finished, the Instant Pot will beep and screen will read “YOGT”. 
  19. Remove the lid. 
  20. Place a strainer over a large bowl. 
  21. Place a double layer of cheesecloth in the strainer.
  22. Pour the yogurt into cheesecloth.
  23. Cover with plastic wrap, and put in fridge to allow liquid to drain out.
  24. Drain for 4-6 hours. 
  25. Transfer the Greek yogurt to storage containers. 
  26. Serve immediately or store up to 1 week in refrigerator.

*Make sure the yogurt you use as starter contains live and active cultures.
