Flaky (And Buttery) Keto Biscuits and Gravy

For the biscuits: 


For the gravy: 


  1. To make the biscuits, add the almond flour, garlic powder, salt, baking powder and xanthan gum in a bowl and mix to combine. 
  2. In another bowl combine the egg and butter. 
  3. Add the almond flour mixture and mix to combine. 
  4. Cover and refrigerate for minimum 2 hours. 
  5. Preheat oven to 400°F. 
  6. Line a baking sheet with parchment paper and set aside.
  7. Divide the dough into 5 balls. 
  8. Flatten each ball into a disk. 
  9. Place them on the prepared baking sheet.  
  10. Bake in preheated oven for 12-14 minutes or until golden. 
  11. Remove from the oven and set aside. 
  12. To make the gravy, melt the butter in a large skillet over medium heat. 
  13. Add the breakfast sausage and cook until no longer pink. 
  14. Combine the broth and cream cheese and stir in. 
  15. Combine the heavy cream and xanthan gum and stir in. 
  16. Add the black pepper and mix to combine. 
  17. Cook, stirring frequently, until thickened to your liking. 
  18. Split biscuits in half and serve with gravy.
