Cheesy Cheddar and Chive Keto Biscuits (ermahgerd!)
Cheddar and chives–my favorite combo! I absolutely love savory biscuits as a snack or light breakfast. This recipe makes for savory keto biscuits that you can munch on any time of the day because it’s made with quality ingredients that suit a keto dieter’s lifestyle, not to mention they’re ridiculously tasty.
Biscuits and Dip, Anyone?
I’m aware that these aren’t those kinds of chips, but that doesn’t stop me from eating these biscuits with some dip. Some of my favorite keto dips are listed below for your convenience:
- Bacon and Roasted Garlic Spinach Dip (Ruled.Me)
- Cream Cheese Dip (All the Nourishing Things)
- Buffalo Chicken Dip (Low Carb Maven)
I like to slice it down the middle and put the dip inside, but you could also just pour it over the top, which is what I like to do when I have some homemade gravy on hand.
Quick and Easy Keto Snacking
What I love about this recipe is that it’s ready in about half an hour. That’s manageable for me even with a full day of work, so I find recipes like this extremely convenient for my lifestyle. I can make some in the morning while getting ready for work and be out the door with a packed lunchbox.
It’s all thanks to this straightforward recipe. Simply preheat the oven to 375 degree Fahrenheit. Make sure not to skip this step because it could affect the overall texture of your biscuits. Next, you’ll beat the egg, sour cream and butter together in a bowl.
Beating the ingredients together will help add air and volume to the mixture. Once the ingredients have softened and combined, add the almond butter and cheddar cheese. Beat the ingredients well until everything is well combined and there are no large lumps of almond butter or cheddar cheese. Finish off with the chives and your dough is ready for baking.
Simply drop heaping spoonfuls of dough on the baking sheet and pop it into the oven. Your biscuits will be done in 20-25 minutes or once the outer layer is golden brown. You can stick a toothpick into the center to see if it comes out clean.

Why Are My Biscuits Flat and Dense?
Make sure to beat the ingredients to incorporate air into the dough. This is what helps create an airy texture. You’ll know your dough is the right texture if it maintains its shape and doesn’t collapse onto itself on the baking sheet before baking.
If you enjoy these biscuits, don’t worry because there’s plenty more where that came from. There are so many interesting flavor combinations and textures that you can play around with as far as keto biscuits go. Here are some of the best keto biscuits I’ve had:
