The Cauliflower Secret

Traditional dough made with white or wheat flour isn’t considered as paleo. In order to make this recipe paleo-approved, the crust of this pizza is made entirely out of cauliflower. Cauliflower has a very neutral texture and flavor making it an excellent alternative for the crust. Just cut up a medium sized cauliflower and place the pieces in a food processor. Pulse the cauliflower until it is thoroughly shredded and fine. Also remember to squeeze out as much moisture and liquid from the cauliflower as you can. The drier the crust, the better it will turn out.

Cauliflower Nutrition at a Glance

You’ll be surprised to find out that 1 medium sized head of cauliflower is only about 150 calories, contains only 30 grams of carbohydrates, 2 grams of fat, 11 grams of protein, and even has 12 grams of dietary fiber! Anyone who is trying to lose weight or fat should definitely bookmark this recipe.

Once the pizza has been cooled out of the oven, it’s ready to be packed and eaten. You can also cook the pizza early on in the day and store it in the refrigerator. Once the pizza is ready to be eaten, the best way to heat it up is to toss it back in the oven for a few minutes.

Get Creative with Your Ingredients

Don’t be limited to what’s listed here on this recipe. You can use whatever keto-friendly and paleo-friendly ingredient you want. Those who want a higher protein pizza may want to use ham, ground beef, or even bits of bacon. Cheese lovers may want to use different kinds of cheeses and make a 4-cheese pizza. Another option is to keep the pizza simple. Just add some all-natural tomato sauce, mozzarella cheese, parmesan cheese, oregano and basil, and we’re sure you’re going to love it. Remember that a keto-friendly pizza means that there shouldn’t be too many vegetables that are high in carbohydrates.
